Typical problem

The original heat shield is located in the underbody area on the fuel tank, where it is exposed to moisture, dirt, and road salt for many years.

As a result, the original plate can corrode severely. In older XWD vehicles, the component is sometimes already so heavily attacked that a permanent repair of the existing plate is no longer viable.

The aluminum reproduction offers a long-term replacement solution for this.
