eSID3 for Saab 9-3 II 2007–2014

The eSID3 (extended Saab Information Display) enhances the original SID of the Saab 9-3 II with numerous additional vehicle data, diagnostic displays, and convenience functions.

The information is displayed directly in the original instrument cluster display and operated using the existing steering wheel buttons.

No additional display on the dashboard required.

Suitable for

Saab 9-3 II model years 2007–2014

For vehicles with the updated interior from model year 2007 onwards and SID in the instrument cluster.

Suitable for various petrol, BioPower, and diesel engines.

A different eSID version is required for Saab 9-3 model years 2003–2006.

Simple plug-&-play installation

The eSID3 is simply plugged into the OBD2 port below the steering wheel.

No complex wiring is required for normal use.

After installation, the additional information is displayed directly via the existing Saab Information Display.

Numerous additional vehicle data

Depending on the engine and vehicle equipment, the following values can be displayed, among others:

• Boost pressure
• Engine torque and power
• Air mass
• Coolant temperature
• Intake air temperature
• Ethanol content for BioPower
• Automatic transmission oil temperature
• XWD temperatures
• AC pressure
• Fuel and consumption data
• Acceleration values
• Battery voltage
• Diesel particulate filter status

Additionally, depending on the engine, further data from the engine control unit is available.

Diagnostics directly in the vehicle

With the eSID3, error codes from various control units in the vehicle can also be read and cleared.

This makes the eSID not only an auxiliary display but also a practical diagnostic tool for everyday use.

Additional convenience functions

The eSID3 also expands the Saab with numerous functions that are not available as standard or only to a limited extent.

Depending on the vehicle equipment, these include, among others:

• Comfort turn signals (lane change blinker)
• Individual welcome message
• Extended fuel consumption displays
• Adjustable windshield wiper interval
• Coming/Leaving Home functions
• Extended fog light functions
• Convenience functions for electric folding mirrors
• Parking heater functions
• Setting the vehicle clock when using an aftermarket radio
• Additional status indicators and symbols

Particularly interesting for performance-tuned Saabs

By displaying, for example, boost pressure, air mass, power, torque, and various engine data, the eSID3 is also particularly interesting for performance-tuned Saab 9-3s.

The values appear directly in the original instrument cluster – without additional instruments or displays in the interior.

The language can be detected automatically according to the vehicle setting or selected manually.

Original look is preserved

The great advantage of the eSID3 is its complete integration into the vehicle.

No additional display is required, and operation is carried out using the Saab's existing controls.

This preserves the interior and the original Saab look while simultaneously providing numerous additional pieces of information and functions.
