eSID9-5 for Saab 9-5 1998–2010 & Saab 9-3 I 1998–2003

The eSID9-5 (extended Saab Information Display) adds numerous additional vehicle data, diagnostic displays, and convenience functions to the Saab 9-5 and Saab 9-3 I.

The information is displayed directly via the original Saab Information Display (SID).

This allows the driver to receive a wealth of additional information without needing to mount a separate display or auxiliary gauge in the interior.

Suitable for

• Saab 9-5 I / OG9-5 – model years 1998–2010
• Saab 9-3 I / OG9-3 – model years 1998–2003

In principle, all vehicles in these model series are supported.

The eSID offers its full range of functions particularly for vehicles with Trionic 7 as well as the 1.9 TiD.

Numerous additional vehicle data

The eSID makes a large amount of normally hidden vehicle data visible via the original SID.

Depending on the vehicle, engine, and equipment, various data points are available, including:

• Engine and sensor data
• Boost pressure
• Calculated engine power
• Calculated torque
• Temperature values
• Fuel consumption data
• Battery voltage
• Automatic transmission oil temperature
• Acceleration values
• Diesel particulate filter data
• Further vehicle information

0–100 km/h and performance displays

The eSID is also an interesting upgrade for tuned Saabs.

Among other things, additional performance data such as:

• 0–100 km/h acceleration
• Calculated engine power
• Calculated torque
• Boost pressure
• Further engine data

can be displayed directly via the original SID.

Diagnostic functions

The eSID offers additional diagnostic capabilities and can present vehicle data directly via the existing Saab display.

This makes it suitable not only as an additional display, but also as a practical tool for vehicle monitoring.

Functions for diesel vehicles

For supported diesel vehicles, additional information regarding the diesel particulate filter is available.

This includes, among other things:

• DPF fill level
• DPF regeneration status
• Further DPF information
• DPF regeneration

Additional convenience functions

In addition to vehicle data, the eSID enhances the Saab with extra convenience functions.

These include, among other things:

• 3/4-flash comfort turn signals
• Individual welcome message
• Additional vehicle displays
• Extended SID functions
• Setting the system time when using an aftermarket radio
• Further configurable functions

Original Saab look is preserved

The additional information is presented via the original SID.

This means the interior maintains its original appearance, and no additional instruments or displays are required on the dashboard.

Especially for the Saab 9-5 and 9-3 I, this is an elegant way to retrofit modern additional functions while simultaneously preserving the original interior aesthetic.

Installation

Unlike the eSID3, the eSID9-5 is hardwired into the vehicle.

A suitable wiring harness is included in the scope of delivery.

To access the full range of functions, the eSID is integrated into the existing vehicle electronics.

Upon request, we can perform the installation in-house.
